What is Helping Hands Foundation - Nepal (HHF)?
Helping Hands Foundation-Nepal is a non-profit non-governmental organization(NGO) registered with the Nepal Government in 2009 with the aim of facilitating aspiring visitors in Nepal to contribute in enhancing the living and educational standards of underprivileged children of Nepal.

What are the programs with Helping Hands Foundation?
Helping Hands Foundation has various programs such as volunteer placements in the village schools, health sector, and orphanage. Other programs include charity trekking, cultural exchange, sports development, rehabilitation programs, teachers training, women’s issues, etc

Is there any age bar to be to volunteer?
There no upper age bar. However, the rules require that you must be at least 18 years or over to qualify as a volunteer.

Do the volunteers get any financial support?
We are sorry. In fact, the programs run through the aid from the volunteers and donors.

What language is the medium of communication between the locals and the volunteers?
English is the medium of communication among the locals of Nepal and foreign volunteers.

Can I help the programs from abroad?
Certainly. You can sponsor a child’s education, or help getting publicity in your place, or even work as a fundraiser.

Do I get any help from HHF in mixing with people?
Of course! We will take care of you the moment you land in Nepal, from airport pick up, accommodation, orientation to Nepalese society and culture to placement in a particular village and family, we will be with you until you find yourself at home in Nepal.

Are there any additional expenses after arrival in Kathmandu?
The volunteer program package covers your all fees on accommodation and the meals as your host family would eat in their home. Please learn all about the cost inclusion and exclusion while choosing a certain program. You might need some extra expenses to meet your personal needs.

What would be quality of the food and accommodation during the home-stay?
We provide enough guidance and training to the host family regarding on health and sanitation practices. However, please note that Nepal is still an underdeveloped and mostly rural country.
